To protect natural resources is our daily concern. In order to meet the strong standards we have established permanent and thorough controls throughout the entire production process.
Our main raw material is recovered paper. Our daily demand is supplied by local recovered paper mangers or sanitation departments within a radius to the mill of 250 km. The requested bales are delivered just in time. The average daily demand of recovered paper is between 800 and 1,300 tons depending on production programs. Our recovered waste paper demand corresponds to a daily delivery of approximately 50 truckloads.
The obtained paper predominately stems from households and supermarkets and is collected following a European sorting index which comprises all marketable different types of recovered paper. At SK C. D. Haupt Papier we mainly use mixed waste paper (from households), supermarket as well as clippings from the production of corrugated boxes. In order to assure and maintain a smooth production flow, the recovered paper has to be rid of any contaminants or other impurities.
